Lawsuit pursues "Netflix" .. and the reason for misleading "Queen's Gamblit"  A Soviet chess legend filed a defamation lawsuit worth 5 million dollars against "Netflix" over an episode of the series "The Queen's Gamblit", which contained false information. Eighty-year-old Georgian Nonna Gabrindashvili, the eighty-year-old Georgian chess legend and the first woman to win the title of "Grandmaster", claimed that the Netflix series indicated in an episode of the "Queen's Gambit" that she had never faced men in any matches. Nouna said in her lawsuit that the way she was portrayed in an episode of the series was biased against women, did not show her truth, and underestimated her abilities. The subject of Nonna's lawsuit is related to the last episode of the series, in which the heroine, played by actress Anya Taylor, plays a match against a Russian chess player in Moscow. In the episode, the commentator on the mat...

The UEFA Champions League (abbreviated as UCL) is an annual club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and contested by top-division European clubs, deciding the competition winners through a group and knockout format. It is one of the most prestigious football tournaments in the world and the most prestigious club competition in European football, played by the national league champions (and, for some nations, one or more runners-up) of their national associations. Introduced in 1955 as the European Champion Clubs' Cup, commonly known as European Cup, it was initially a straight knockout tournament open only to the champions of Europe's domestic leagues, with its winner reckoned as the European club champion. The competition took on its current name in 1992, adding a round-robin group stage in 1991 and allowing multiple entrants from certain countries since 1997. It has since been expanded, and while most of Europe's national ...

With 930,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19 identified to date, the world is rapidly approaching one million officially confirmed cases. Officially confirmed? Given the insufficient screening capacity around the world, these assessments are very likely far below the reality, indicate several specialists. Thus, the world has as of Thursday 02 April more than 930,000 cases detected positive for the virus in 180 countries. 47,000 people lost their lives there. The largest number of positive cases is recorded in the United States, with 216,000 patients. In Europe, Italy exceeds 110,000 cases, including 13,000 deaths. Followed by Spain with 104,000 confirmed cases and more than 10,000 deaths, including 950 in the past 24 hours. Pending a cure or vaccine against this pest virus, more than half of the world's population finds itself forced into containment, considered the only alternative to stem its spread.

EAN Country Codes The first two or three digits of an EAN-13 barcode identify the country in which the manufacturer's identification code was assigned.  They do not necessarily indicate the country in which the goods were manufactured.   Many countries have EAN coding authorities which regulate the use of retail barcodes. For names, addresses, and telephone numbers, click here to view our list of Standards Organizations.  In the United States the UPC-A and UPC-E symbologies are used for marking retail products; the administering authority is the Uniform Code Council in Dayton, Ohio (tel. 937-435-3870) The figure below shows a typical EAN-13 barcode. Do you know why football players enter the playground with children? .. this is the reason Saturday morning I settled into the the couch and flipped on the West Ham v Man City match. Just as the players were leaving the tunnel, heading out to the pitch, my boyfriend entered the room. “Why are those guys holding hands with little kids?” I couldn’t help but laugh at his genuine concern and bewilderment. He has only recently been enlightened to the joy that is being a football supporter and apparently doesn’t pay much attention to the beginning of a match. When I told him players walk out with children at almost every match, and in basically every league all he could muster through his confusion was, “but why?” Good question. I never really put much thought into it. I mean, I’ve been watching football since I myself was a child. I guess I had always just assumed it was a tradition of some sort. Kids from the local youth teams or underprivileged backgrounds, get...

When you appear as a scary looking villain in a horror flick, your true appearance is often masked by special effects, makeup, and, you guessed it, a hockey mask. But in real life, these supernatural creatures are no different than the rest of us. Most of you would probably walk by them on the street without realizing the roles they played. This is actually quite an advantage for them, as it gives these actors the chance to avoid being typecast in Hollywood, but it's bad for us, because when we come face to face with them, we won't know whether we should be afraid of them or not.  Samara caused havoc and brought terror to audiences in "The Ring" in 2002. In the film, anyone who watched a videotape of Samara would get a call informing them that they had 7 days to live. Then they'd get a visit from Samara herself as she crawled out of the well and into your living room, and killed you. ...

Imagination Technologies ( IMG.L ) has been told by Apple ( AAPL.O ), its biggest customer, that the maker of iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches is to stop using its graphics technology in its new products, sending shares in the company crashing by more than 70 percent on Monday. Imagination said Apple, which accounts for about half its revenue, had notified the British firm it was developing its own graphics chips and would no longer use Imagination's processing designs in 15 months to two years time. "The biggest risk to Imagination's business model was realized this morning," analysts at Investec said. "The loss of this revenue stream will have a material impact on the financials of the company." The technology company, which was founded in 1985 and listed in 1994, has licensed its processing designs to Apple from the time of the first iPod and receives a small royalty on every device using its graphics. Imagination said i...

Relationships have different colors. Some have a terrific start but fade away suddenly. Others have to rough it out in the beginning but make it through fine. Why do some relationships last while others die off? What is the secret sauce that makes a long lasting relationship? According to Psychologist  John Gottman , who has spent the last 40 years of his life conducting research on couples, most marriages that result in divorce are not because of major differences in opinion but rather the inability to communicate differing opinions in a cordial manner. Also, many people try to change their partner’s personality according to their own wishes rather than accepting them as they are. Research Method Dr. John Gottman’s research methods include analyzing couples in a home-like setting which he calls the Love Lab , where they talk to each other about everyday things or argue. “In the Love Lab, researchers claim they can predict with 91% accuracy wh...

Things That Women Will Always  Be Attracted To    1. Drive “I’m really attracted to a guy who knows what he wants in life and is going after it. I absolutely adore being around that kind of energy.” – Jessica, 27 Women are attracted to men that have goals and are actively pursuing them. Masculine energy is directional energy. Like a boulder rolling down a hill, the single-focus energy that penetrates through resistance in pursuit of achieving an end result is very attractive to women. But drive isn’t always enough on its own. Ideally you’ll be driven in something that you’re passionate about. High quality women are infinitely more attracted to a man who is dripping with passion about his work as an artist (despite making under $30,000/year) compared to a man who reluctantly went into law to please his parents and is so unenthusiastic about his work that he uses self-deprecating and dismissive language every time you try and talk to him a...
