Coronavirus: the world is approaching a million confirmed cases

With 930,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19 identified to date, the world is rapidly approaching one million officially confirmed cases.




Officially confirmed? Given the insufficient screening capacity around the world, these assessments are very likely far below the reality, indicate several specialists.
Thus, the world has as of Thursday 02 April more than 930,000 cases detected positive for the virus in 180 countries. 47,000 people lost their lives there.

The largest number of positive cases is recorded in the United States, with 216,000 patients. In Europe, Italy exceeds 110,000 cases, including 13,000 deaths. Followed by Spain with 104,000 confirmed cases and more than 10,000 deaths, including 950 in the past 24 hours.
Pending a cure or vaccine against this pest virus, more than half of the world's population finds itself forced into containment, considered the only alternative to stem its spread.
