One of many reasons tourists are attracted to Seoul -- historic palaces. The city expects to see 10.35 million international visitors in 2015. They'll spend $15.24 billion, putting Seoul fourth on the list in terms of projected visitor spending.9=Seoul

The second most popular city in East Asia with visitors, Singapore is expected to see 11.88 million visitors in 2015. Experts point out that the city, together with Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, lacks a diversified source of visitors -- its top five visitor feeder cities are all from the Asia-Pacific region.7=Singapore

 

New York is expected to draw 12.27 million international visitors in 2015. The city is tops in visitor spending in North America ($17.4 billion).

Istanbul will see an estimated 12.56 million global visitors in 2015. Among all the 132 cities on the list, Istanbul has the most diverse visitor base.5=Istanbul 

 

Dubai outshines all its Middle Eastern neighbors in visitor arrivals. The city will host 14.46 million international visitors in 2015. They'll spend an estimated $11.7 billion.4=Dubai

 

Paris' <a href="http://edition.cnn.com/2015/05/30/travel/paris-love-locks-bridges-feat/">love locks might have been removed from the Pont Des Arts bridge</a>, but that isn't stopping the city from being third most popular among world travelers in 2015, with 16.06 million visitors. 3=Paris

Bangkok held the top spot in the survey in 2013, then lost that ranking largely due to political unrest. But the city's popularity is returning -- 18.24 million visitors are expected in 2015. Visitors can spend a day sightseeing at a Thai Buddhist temple, a Chinese Taoist temple, a Hindu shrine, a Catholic cathedral and a Muslim mosque.2=Bangkok
